Oval 94 Diskont 1995 . Depending on who you ask, Oval are one of the prime examples about what went right or, alternatively, wrong with the movement of electronic musicians in the middle of the 90‘s. The band consisted of Frank Metzger, Sebastian Oschatz and Markus Popp back then, of which only Popp remains in the latest incarnation of Oval, current since 1998.

This album took the world of electronic music and turned it on its head and caused Oval’s Markus Popp to be credited as the creator of what was later dubbed the “glitch” or “clicks & cuts” style. Oval – 94 Diskont ‘94 Diskont’ was the fourth album by German electronic group Oval, originally released in 1995. It was their final release as a three-piece before the departure of Sebastian Oschatz and Frank Metzger, which left Markus Popp to continue Oval as a solo project. 94 Diskont ist ein Album der experimentellen Elektrogruppe Oval.Es erschien 1995..
